Sylyna Kennedy, certified nurse-midwife, is a native of East Texas. She was born and raised in Rusk, where she first felt the calling to midwifery at a young age. Sylyna is deeply committed to supporting women and families through every step of their pregnancy, birth, and beyond.
Her approach is grounded in creating a space where women are empowered to make their own informed decisions about their care. She sees her role as both educator and advocate: providing clear information, compassionate support, and ensuring safety while honoring each patient’s values and preferences.
Her philosophy centers on dignity, respect, and partnership. She believes that helping others—especially during such a vulnerable and transformative time—is a privilege, and she strives to love on her patients by offering not just clinical care, but emotional support and encouragement.
