
Margarita O’Neal, LPC
Margarita O’Neal is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor dedicated to supporting individuals of all ages on their path to healing and self-discovery. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Margie is passionate about bridging communication gaps and providing culturally attuned, inclusive care.
Before joining Wellness Point, Margie served as Clinical Supervisor at a residential treatment center for adolescents involved in the judicial system, and she brings additional experience from her work in private practice. She earned her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health from Walden University, a Bachelor’s in Addiction Psychology from Aspen University, and an Associate’s in Chemical Dependency from Texas State Technical College.
A National Board Certified Counselor Minority Fellow since 2020, Margie has received specialized training in addressing the disparities minorities face in accessing mental health services. She is certified in Level 1 Sand Tray Therapy and integrates Child-Centered Play Therapy techniques into her work with younger clients.
Margie takes a person-centered approach, focusing on making every client feel heard, validated, and empowered. She believes that true understanding comes not only from education, but also from life experience—wisdom she brings into every therapeutic relationship.
Outside of counseling, Margie enjoys cooking, traveling, fishing, and spending quality time with her family.
